Strong short entry on the North side of the North East spandrel; moving position or travelling dot is located as in Position No. 7 but a little nearer the nose; small dash is opposite the North West "g" as in Position No. 7; small dot on the South side of the oval frame line South of centre of the 3rd "E" in seventeen; main position dot is slightly oval North East and South West slightly South centre and is nearly full West or full.
Kershaw's notes
There is strong short transfer restricted to the TR spandrel, with strong oblique flaw inside the TL frame adjacent to the "8" with a dot below the "E" centre bottom
Morel's notes
Position dot right of face, weak transfer top right, diagonal mark in upper left frame beside "8", and dot in bottom frame below 3rd E of Seventeen.

Stamps from printing orders 1 to 5A were perf. 11.75, stamps from printing orders 5B to 7 were perf. 12 x 11.75 and those from printing orders 8 to 12 were perf. 12.
