Guide dot in West margin is close to but outside of the outer frame line a shade North of centre of the West oval ornament; strong short entry on North side of the North East spandrel; in clear copies there is a slight trace of colour near the centre of the South West figure “1".
Kershaw's notes
The oval guide dots are absent, but there are strong guide dots TL, LL, and centrally outside the frames. The short transfer is strong TR and extends across the top of the stamp. There is a faint dot LL in the "1" of "17"
Morel's notes
Position dots on left (central and top of frameline), short transfer below top frameline, and small dot in 1 of left 17. There is also a short oblique line visible on the top left margin, just west of the 8.
Stamps from printing orders 1 to 5A were perf. 11.75, stamps from printing orders 5B to 7 were perf. 12 x 11.75 and those from printing orders 8 to 12 were perf. 12.
