Calder's notes
Distinct short entry in the South point of the North West spandrel; traces of colour on the 2nd "e" of "Seventeen" and in the oval frame lines North of "ENT"; 2 dashes in the form of an inverted "y" appears East of the top of the "E" of "Postage" - one arm (short) is between the frame lines and the other (long) is outside; main position dot is centre and full.
Kershaw's notes
There is a strong inverted small V-flaw superimposed on the frame adjacent to "GE" of "POSTAGE".
Morel's notes
In addition to the position dot on cheek, there is a weak frameline and short transfer in left spandrel and a noticeable oblique line right frameline, right of the E of postage, typical of this position. As mentioned on Calder book, this position shows light blue patches below the SW of the inner oval frame, below the shoulder, and continues in the 2nd "E" of Seventeen. This flaw continues throughout the life of the plate.
